Ashley comes to Thrive with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and has extensive experience working in homes with children and their families. She has worked directly with parents and with children ages 3-18 who were struggling with grief/loss, trauma including physical and sexual abuse, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, Depression and Anxiety, to name a few. She has knowledge of Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Ashley also has offered presentations to high school and college level students on “Dating Violence”, sharing information on the signs/symptoms of violence, the cycle of violence, and how to recognize the warning signs of unhealthy relationships. She has worked closely with school guidance departments and teachers and has a unique ability to empathize with others, while assisting them in developing coping skills and gain empathy from their support system.
